Healthcare Administration and Medical Business Management
All programs are available for corporate on-site training.
A patient's first impression of his or her physician can be made within the first few minutes of entering the medical office. Medical care today is undeniably a team effort, and no physician can successfully complete the continuum of care alone; communication, cooperation, and coordination of the medical office staff are vital to effective patient care and practice success.
Certified Medical Business Management
Florida Atlantic University's Certified Medical Business Management (CMBM) program is the only program of its kind in South Florida, designed to provide information essential to every practitioner and medical office professional on how to effectively run a medical business office. The CMBM program consists of 3 modules, including:
- Anatomy, Terminology, Billing and Coding
- Legal, Regulatory and Compliance Practices
- Office Operations
By successfully completing all 3 modules in the program, participants will earn the designation of Certified Medical Business Manager from FAU.
Certified Professional Coder Exam Review
The Certified Professional Coder (CPC) program at Florida Atlantic University is the unquestionable way to prepare for the CPC exam. Successful completion will prepare you to sit for the CPC exam and work in a medical billing department at a physician’s office, clinic, hospitals, coding insurance company or other medical facility.
