Scholarship Name Eligibility Requirements

Barbara L. and Harrison Newman Scholarship
(Fall scholarship) 

This scholarship is awarded to full time students with financial
need who are in their fifth year of studies in the College of Business School of Accounting. 

Ken P. Hoffman Memorial Scholarship
(Fall scholarship)

 

Minimum 3.0 Overall GPA. In Junior year or above in accounting major. Full-time student. Must be a member of the Accounting Students Association (ASA).

  • Preference given to ASA Officers.

Michael J. and Mindy Feldman Accounting Scholarship

(Fall & Spring scholarship)

This scholarship is awarded to a full time student that meets the following criteria:

· Junior or Senior (In the 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of accounting degree)

· Completed a minimum of 12 credits in Accounting/Tax courses with a maximum of 6 hours of lower division credits (Must have successfully completed ACG3131 with a grade of B or better)

· Minimum GPA of 3.25

·  Preference will be given to non-traditional older minority students.

·  Must have unmet financial need as determined by the FAU Office of Student Financial Aid. 

Miriam & Seymour Feldstein Scholarship

(Fall & Spring scholarship)

This scholarship is awarded to a full time accounting student that meets the following criteria:

  • Awarded to a Junior, Senior, or 5th year accounting student
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

Paul Zelenkofske Accounting Scholarship
(Fall scholarship) 

 

In the 3rd, 4th, or 5th year of accounting degree. Preference given to non-traditional older students who are working to support themselves. Must have unmet financial need as determined by the FAU Office of Student Financial Aid. 

School of Accounting: Accounting Scholars Program (ASP)

Kickoff Scholarship 

(Fall scholarship)

 

  • Students applying for this scholarship must be an undergraduate student in good standing in ASP
  • Minimum GPA 3.0 overall 
  • Must be enrolled full time or in final semester of degree
  • Must have successfully completed at least two accounting/tax honors compacts
  • Required to attend the SOA Kickoff rehearsal 

School of Accounting: Kickoff Scholarship (non ASP students)

(Fall scholarship)

 

  • Students applying for this scholarship must be an undergraduate or graduate student
  • Minimum GPA 3.25 overall 
  • Must be enrolled full time (9 credits for graduate school/12 credits for undergraduate)
  • Not enrolled as an Accounting Scholar Program student
  • Must have successfully completed ACG3131
  • Required to attend the SOA Kickoff event

Silverbush Scholarship
(Spring scholarship)

Awarded to accounting students who are juniors with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Students can be part or full time.

 

Note: Accounting students have to take business ethics courses and qualify for these scholarships as well listed under our Business Ethics Scholarships.
